Culture Week

The last week of October is our Culture Week which engaged students and teachers in celebrating and exploring diverse cultural backgrounds through a variety of fun activities.  Culture Week was initiated to nurture the NCIS community’s international mindedness and build a more harmonious campus where people could understand and respect each other.

Day 1

Cool autumn is coming! It’s a good time to go outside, get close to nature, and explore! Therefore, here comes our Autumn outing!

Day 2

We visited the Jiangxi Library. By seeing varieties of projects, children participated in different activities such as Story Sharing, and Interactive Machine.

Day 3

Art is fundamental to human life. If science has changed the world, art has beautified it. Art changes our perspective and our attitude toward the world.

At NCIS, the Arts education curriculum has already taken root! We insist on educating students with aesthetics and instilling a culture of artistic beauty so that children can grow up with many diverse cultural experiences.

Halloween

Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated in the last week of October. It originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like a parade, pumpkin carving, and Halloween snacks.

As an international school, we believe it is important to celebrate diversity and to realize that people in our own community have different backgrounds. Celebrating culture and diversity offers the opportunity for everyone to learn.
