At our IB school, we believe in the power of storytelling to celebrate diversity, foster empathy, and build a sense of learning community. This month, we are excited to launch our Family Show and Tell activity, where students will have the opportunity to share cherished moments from their family life or introduce a beloved family member to their classmates.
在我们的聚会中，Abigail的父母慷慨地分享了他们来自台湾的“东方美人茶”。Dylan的家人讲述了他们最近在迪士尼的经历。Chloe和她的父母分享了他们心爱的狗和新出生女儿的故事。Jackie的父母为我们讲述了观看奥特曼表演的故事。
During our gathering, Abigail’s parents generously shared their special tea “东方美人茶” from Taiwan, Dylan’s family recounted their recent trip to Disneyland. Chloe and her parents delighted us with stories about their beloved dogs and the joyous arrival of their baby girl. Jackie’s parents entertained us with tales of watching an Ultraman play.
家庭展示和交流不仅是一项有趣的活动，也是促进学生之间沟通技巧、社交技巧和自我管理技巧的好方法。通过分享家庭生活中的故事和经历，学生可以与同学建立更深厚的联系，并在课堂内培养社区意识。

Family Show and Tell is not just a fun activity, but also a great way to promote communication skills, social skills, and self-management skills among our students. By sharing stories and experiences from their family life, students can develop a deeper connection with their peers and foster a sense of community within the classroom.
Moreover, this activity encourages students to conduct research and think critically about the significance of their family members and traditions. By presenting their findings to their classmates, students can enhance their thinking skills and become more knowledgeable about their own heritage and background.
