The House System is designed to embody the values and ethos of the school and aims to be an integral part of our school community. In time it is our ambition that the House Captains and the School Council will work together creating a stronger pupil voice to motivate students and further the community spirit of the school.

The house system is a traditional feature of schools in Commonwealth countries, originating in England. The school is divided into subunits called ‘houses’ and each student, teacher and staff is allocated to one house at the moment of enrollment. Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.

At Changsha WES Academy, we have introduced this system to build a bond of unity among the school, The houses in WES are mainly

These houses will be mentored by teachers as House Leaders, and Each house shall have student leaders called house Captains and Vice-Captains.
