On June 1st, 2024, our community celebrated an unforgettable International Family Day, bringing together people from different cultures and backgrounds for fun, entertainment, and delicious food. The event was a great opportunity for families to bond and enjoy a wide range of activities and performances.

The day started with a warm welcome from NCIS teachers and staff, the event kicked off with captivating performances that showcased the talents of each family. From dances to piano performances, the stage was alive with the sounds and colors of different performances coming together in harmony.
Following the performances, our parents had the chance to explore various game booths that offered entertainment and friendly competition. The jewelry station was a hit with attendees, who had the opportunity to create and customize their unique jewelry with their names! The board game station allowed families to engage in friendly competition. The football and baseball stations offered some physical activities and friendly matches, bringing people together through the universal language of sports.

Of course, International Family Day would be incomplete without a diverse selection of delicious food. Our parents and kids were treated to a journey worldwide, with food booths offering a taste of Indian cuisine, French favorites, and various drink options. The tantalizing aromas and flavors of the food booths added an extra layer of cultural immersion to the event, allowing everyone to savor the tastes of different cultures and traditions.

The event was a celebration of diversity and cultural exchange and a reflection of the values and principles of the IB program. The IB encourages students to become open-minded and develop intercultural understanding and respect, the International Family Day provided a real-life opportunity for our community to put these principles into practice. By coming together to celebrate our differences and similarities, we fostered a sense of unity and inclusivity within our community.
